Representing Exporters, Depalindo Committed to Continuing to Advocate for Logistics Efficiency

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Transport Service Users Council (Depalindo) reaffirmed its commitment to continue advocating and fighting for national logistics efficiency. This was the main stance taken at the 12th National Congress in 2025, held in Jakarta on Thursday (9/25/2025).

Depalindo Chairman Toto Dirgantoro explained that his organization was established by the Ministry of Trade to serve as the official representative of cargo owners and exporters.

“So we apologize if we sometimes tend to be vocal in representing cargo owners or exporters,” said Toto Dirgantoro.

According to him, amid global challenges such as the “Trump Tariff” policy, logistics efficiency is no longer an option but an absolute necessity for Indonesian products to compete.

“Cutting logistics costs is not an option, but a necessity,” he said.

He referred to exporters as the country's foreign exchange warriors who must be supported by a favorable logistics climate.

“Depalindo has always been consistent in speaking up and fighting, especially in the field of logistics,” he concluded. (*)
