Ahead of the 12th Congress, Depalindo Holds Hearing with Minister of Trade

LOGISTIKNEWS.ID- Indonesian Minister of Trade Budi Santoso received a visit from the National Executive Board (DPN) of the Indonesian Shippers Council (Depalindo) at the Ministry of Trade office in Jakarta on Friday (12/9/2025).
During the meeting, Depalindo presented its plans for the 12th Depalindo Congress and invited the Minister of Trade to attend and open the Congress, which will be held in Jakarta on September 25, 2025.

Present at the DPN Depalindo audience with the Minister of Trade were Depalindo Chairman Toto Dirgantoro, Secretary General Wildan Anwar, Treasurer Jeremia Dewanto, Deputy Secretary General Mikhael Ardianto, Chairman of the Depalindo Congress Organizing Committee (OC) Hendrik Sitompul, and Chairman of the Congress Steering Committee (SC) Moh Hamzah.

Depalindo Chairman Toto Dirgantoro said that on that occasion, Minister Budi emphasized the importance of coordination between ministries and institutions in order to create affordable logistics costs and to involve Depalindo's active role in realizing this.

The agenda for the 2025 Depalindo Congress, said Toto, will also include an Interactive Dialogue on the smooth flow of goods and logistics, including the impact of the US Reciprocal Tariff Policy that was recently enacted.

Toto revealed that Indonesia will also host the Global Shipper Alliance and ASEAN Shipper Alliance meetings in Bali on November 6, which will be attended by various countries around the world.

Dewan Pemakai Jasa Angkutan Indonesia (Depalindo), known internationally as the Indonesia National Shippers' Council (INSC), has become a forum for exporters and cargo owners to fight for the interests of the business world in the transportation and logistics sector to improve national logistics efficiency.

Depalindo is also a founding member of the Federation of ASEAN Shippers’ Council (FASC) and the Asian Shippers’ Alliance (ASA), and actively participates in various international forums to strengthen Indonesia’s position in global trade. [am]
